UK Staycation
I have spent a lot of time escaping the UK to explore distant shores and have been very fortunate to see some amazing sights and sounds.
It was more so when I lived in Canada, but I found when speaking to other people in these faraway places, I started to notice a pattern. Everyone said how lucky I was to be in London or surrounded by countryside with the little chocolate box houses and country pubs with their fireplaces; and that one day they want to visit the UK to see these places for themselves.
It dawned on me, we spend so much time lusting after exotic locations, we take for granted our own surroundings that are often lusted after by someone else. The whole “grass is always greener” comes to mind.
Before Covid and now during this pandemic, I have been trying to explore this country more (Scotland still eludes me, but I hope to change that very soon!) and trying to capture its beauty.
Staycations are now a thing and so here are some UK spots I hope you enjoy.
